About Murry J Schekman

Murry served as an Instructional Aide in a Special Ed program at O.S. Hubbard Elementary on the East side of San Jose. He served as the principal of six schools -3 middle schools, 2 comprehensive high schools, and a continuation school. He was also a director and assistant superintendent in charge of Secondary Education. He transitioned from K-12 in 2015 to teach full-time in San Jose State University’s Administrative Leadership and Counselor Ed Departments. He was invited to come back to his home district and serve as the Interim Superintendent and retired from that position on May 1, 2024. He began his first presentation with the PVUSD entire Leadership Team at the beginning of the 2023-24 year with a presentation on Leadership, and he ended the year telling the community about his dog and the enthusiasm that he enjoys starting the day with Jesse, his walking companion.
