About Murry J Schekman

Murry J Schekman just finished a stint as the Interim Superintendent of Schools of the Pajaro Valley USD, a district of 15,000 students with a large English Learner population, 34 schools, 82% of students living in poverty, 17% having special needs, and 10% identified as migrant students and a staff of 2442. This final job in his career capped a 40-year career in the world of K- 12 and instruction at SJSU. His intent is to capture the essence of effective leadership with real stories – successes and failures on the job and show the link to research-based practices.
